I do not live my life prioritizing the things that make sense, [Huaisang insists, voice lilting and playful.] I'd much rather prioritize emotions and pleasure. I don't know if there's any philosopher in the world who can make sense of why some people find pleasure in certain things and not in others. Sometimes there are complications or underlying issues, but sometimes it's just ... people don't like a sensation.
There's no need for things to make sense. If anyone expects me to account for why I like being chased, or tickled... they're out of luck. I just do.
Anyway, what I mean is just that you don't have to make sense of it. Even if what you want and what's comfortable is different from day to day. It's okay to negotiate these things every single time. Even small things are worth negotiating, if they're important to someone.
