IC Art Commissions
Note: These commissions are IC-only. I'm happy to write up a description or find a pinterest approximation for anything Huaisang creates for your character!
Art Commissions
Huaisang practices shuǐ-mò 水墨 "ink wash" painting, with three primary styles within that genre, plus calligraphy. Any of his styles can be commissioned either as wall hangings, fans, cards, book inserts, scrolls, or even full-wall murals.
Xieyi 寫意 (freehand style) Minimalist
Huaisang favors this style for fans, small artworks (poster cards or framed pictures), and full-wall murals. He can do small artworks in this style in about an hour, fans and full-wall murals in about a day.
Shanshui 山水 ("mountain water") Landscapes
Huaisang favors this style for wall hangings or fans. The intricate details required mean that he usually spends days or weeks on these pieces. He can do a wall hanging or a fan in about a week, while a full-wall mural would take a month of focused work.
Figure Painting
Simple figures can be included in the other styles, but he can also do detailed and realistic figures. Most of his experience in figure painting is pornographic, and he's happy to offer that, but he'll paint clothes on if you insist. Small artworks (poster cards or framed pictures), fans, and scrolls or book inserts will all take about an hour per figure.
Calligraphy
Huaisang knows several variants on seal script, clerical script, and cursive script, and is happy to include words, poems or sayings as part of an artwork. (Running script and regular script post-date him. He is not familiar with them and would struggle to read modern Chinese lettering.)
